Living Abroad
Whether you are looking to go on the adventure of a lifetime, or you are more interested in settling down somewhere new, living abroad can really open up your horizons. It can seem daunting at first, especially if you have not travelled much beforehand, or you have not been to the country before, but if you are careful and consider all your options and possibilities, then living abroad should not be as painful as you might first think.
Your satisfaction and happiness may well depend on a few key factors, so before you even think about buying that place in Spain it might be worthwhile thinking about these aspects. If you do not speak the language native to the place you are moving to, it might be a good idea to start learning as soon as you can, because everyone there will appreciate your efforts. It is also useful to bear in mind that if you move somewhere more rural or low-key that many people may not speak your language at all, so this makes it even more important.
Despite this, it has to be said that living in a country is one of the best ways to learn the language, as you are constantly around people speaking the language, and if you intend to live a normal day-to-day life you will need to talk to other people. Having a basic knowledge will get you by, but learning it will win the respect and friendship of the locals quicker and more effectively than any other factor.
